I used to leave it on in the background (due to earlier shows leading into it) but no longer. After watching him shill for the Ramseys, I now have to change the channel. His voice and stupid accent make me nauseous.

I used to watch it a long time ago but quickly realized he's a douchebag and doesn't seem very professional. Somewhere on youtube is a video of a real therapist ripping Dr Phill to shreds.

shareI remember an episode about a man who cheated on his wife, Dr Phil had the man followed and started the episode talking about how the man had lied to his wife and she became increasingly upset throughout the episode, imagining what her husband has been lying about. Finally, Phil revealed the man had stopped for gas and an old girlfriend happened to stop at the same gas station and they said hello to one another. That was it. The wife was in tears. At this point she had convinced herself that her husband was having a 2nd affair but it was just this coincidence of seeing an old girlfriend.
