Better than Forrest Gump?

I was inevitable for me to compare these two. I personally thought this one was better than Gump, since the story in Big Fish was just generally better. what do you think?

Help get this film in the top 250: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274518/

They are both masterpieces for sure! but saying the other is better is very hard to do.

I hated Forrest Gump. I love Big Fish....

To me Big Fish is definitely the better story. A lot of Gump's popularity was riding on Tom Hank's Oscar win the previous year.

It definitely reminded me of 3 films, The Princess Bride, Forest Gump and Curios Case Of Benjamin Button. All three films have their own unique charm too them.

I'd probably have to say Benjamin Button is the best film of the 4. BF is real good though but it kind of tails off into pure fantasy which spoils the illusion/mystery of deciding whether or not the father's tall tales are in fact true. All 4 are fun movies.... cant go wrong with any one of them.

I would say Forrest Gump is the better movie over all. It had many advancements in special effects, and the character of Gump is like the American mythos personified, with a Buddha quality too. Basically a modern day Tom Sawyer.

Big Fish, on the other hand, is a much smaller and more intimate story, but I seem to remember it being a little bit too twee and whimsical to take seriously.

Agreed.
