This happens because Directors know if they approach the big movie companies (which are obviously American) with a story of anything other than Hero/superhero/ standing at the end with the strong stance and instant cut scene to Stars 'n' Stripes fluttering in the wind they wont give them a dime.
Movie business is political like most big biz these days. Anyone who thinks it's mainly about entertainment and it's what viewers want is naive.
Now even with Russia the only super-power flying people into space and China next something tells me the space invaders will still be killed by characters called Hank and Brad. The Ego will linger on in movies if not in real life, despite the USA becoming 3rd in the world power rankings!
Once you all kill each other in movies the Scots will rule the world! lmao

Two reasons, because they need a large military force like the USA although when it's a worldwide fight the Americans tend to end as the leaders.
Secondly because it's American movie companies etc supplying the money to make it, get it written and screenplayed by patriotic yanks!
