I've been a baseball fanatic for over 40 years now and have clear memories of many outstanding players. No question in my mind though that my favorite baseball player ever is Vladimir Guerrero. I enjoyed watching him play more than anybody. Greg Maddux also comes to mind as a personal favorite.

I am also big baseball history buff. My favorite player ever that I didn't actually see play would be Lou Gehrig or Lefty Grove.
