Post-Emo?

I'd say Lizzie was pretty emo in this film, writing BS poetry and whatnot; made me want to go listen to a Taking Back Sunday CD.

I really miss the days when this "emo" s hit wasn't around. I hate it.

emo doesn't exist. much of the world is going to inspire emotions (be it looking at an apple and thinking "hey, i'm hungry and apples taste good"). you can't just say that one thing is emo, because in reality, everything is emo. you're emo too. i do agree, however, that bands like my chemical romance, hawthorne heights, taking back sunday whatever, they aren't very good.

actual emo doesn't have anything to do with "emotion".. well i mean it does.. but no more so than any other music.. i mean jesus motzart's music was "emotional" eric clapton's music was "emotional"... all music is intended to convey or cause emotion.. "EMO" comes from the term "emotive hardcore".. *(not emotional hardxcore..) that was sprouted in the late 80s. and it has been dribbled down into the "emo" we know it as today by these skateboard toting, bad poetry writing, girl pants wearing depressants that 'say' they are emo in today's society and perform a nice lifestyle of superficiality and the facade of legitimacy.

I have to return some video tapes.

emo is so dated.

when someone says emo they are letting me know how YOUNG they are.

being depressed and wearing black started in the 1920s.

in the 50s they were called beatniks.

in the 80s, new wave and goth.

Wow, what an ignorant comment of you to make. Are you 12?
