It's interesting whenever a question like this is asked, almost every response lists movies that are big-budget mainstream Hollywood films...I'm not disagreeing that some of these aren't bad films. But doesn't anyone watch movies that aren't released in the theaters?

Here's my bad horror list:

Night of Horror
The Brainsucker
Freeway Maniac
Back Woods
Nail Gun Massacre
Troll 2

I love horror films that are so bad they're good(and I know some people who find that in the films I listed)But they don't even work for me that way.

All of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films. (Mega hype=mega bad movies)
Any "Pink Panther" film made after Peter Sellers death.
"Inchon" (From what I've heard)
"Never Say Never Again"
"Leonard Part 6" (So bad, it's actually quite good)
"TerrorVision"
Many more.

Dust off the TV screen, it's bothering my chickens.

reply

I don't know if 'Terror Vision' counts, since it's intentionally bad.

Those people who think that The Village or any M. Night Shyamalan film is worse than this need their heads looking at.

reply

You haven't seen 'Lady In The Water', I take it?

reply

It's one of my favourite movies. It's brilliant.

reply

You were saying about people needing their heads looked at....?

reply

If people just take Lady In The Water as a throw-away "movie" then they're not truly understanding it, and whenever I watch it I pick up on so many different levels which for me, is why the film is such a beautiful, enigmatic fantasy.

I'm surprised. I went through this whole thread and not a single person mentioned those god-awful SciFi Channel original movies. GAG.

Deep Blue Sea (I think that's the title) about this bitchy female scientist with an ear-grating accent who's so smart she decides to give deadly deadly sharks heightened intelligence! What a piece of sh!t! I cheered when she got gobbled up!

Sabre Tiger movie(title unknown) I think this was one of those aforementioned sci fi movies. Annoying lady scientist with no scruples ressurects/clones a sabre tooth tiger. The tiger was really obvious CGI, the scientist was an annoying bitch. Watching it was horribly painful.

Date Movie. Had a few funny parts, but mostly drove the crude humor too far into the ground, to the point where you stop laughing and wait for the cat to stop humping the corpse.

My Best Friend's Wedding. Julia Roberts' character was hateful, in fact, all her movies suck. I don't know why people praise her, she is ugly. Especially that f!cked up smile.

Movies I love:

Dagon
Seed of Chucky (Made me laugh)
Epic movie (better than date movie)

I saw this in the theater, and while I was disappointed, I was never bored. Here are a handful of worse films than this: "Vulgar," "Invitation to Hell," "Jawbreaker," "Tweaked," "The Mangler," and remakes of "The Stepford Wives" and "Halloween," to name just a few. Plus, most of the films listed above by previous posters were worse.

reply

House of 1,000 Corpses was pretty bad.

Red Sonja (an idea for a good plot was all the movie had--somewhere down the line, it became absolute $hit)

Quest for the Mighty Sword (I shut it off after fifteen minutes, it was so bad)

The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (I can't believe alan rickman signed on for that crap)

And the worst movie ever...

(drum roll, please)

Oh, crap, I forgot:

Charlie's Angels 1 & 2
Anger Management
All of the Spy Kids movies
A Series of Unfortunate Events

...And I can't believe no one has mentioned White Noise. Plot holes the size of Russia.

Rickman is a fan of Douglas Adams - which you pretty much have to be to enjoy the movie.
