Father takes son to whore house?

Why does he do that?

I wish I had father like that :D

I never understood how a man could get confidence out of paying for sex anyway. I think it ranks up there with one of the most pathetic things a man can do.

And I agree with a previous poster who said that it sends the wrong message to a young man as well as young woman. For young men it sends a tone of treating women with disrespect equating them to some form of commodity that money can buy, in this case sex and for women it sends the message that your self worth is only skin deep, in other words all you have to offer is your body for sale. We then see a culture that spawns from this way of thinking. Like a vicious circle jerk! I.E... gold diggers and tricks, which I always thought were for kids anyway.

Don't get me wrong I'm not necessarily judging anyone who chooses to do this nor do I think it needs to be restricted or made illegal, I just think that there's better ways of instructing our youths properly on these sensitive themes of life. Perhaps the father would have been better served helping his son overcome his shyness and teaching him the proper way to speak to women. I dunno just a thought.

Relating this topic back to the film, i was really disappointed to find out how censored it had been. This has to be the most censored movie out there. Ridiculous how they chopped this up! They completely ruined the Director's vision!

~What if this is as good as it gets?!~

If you are a young boy that never had sex before having sex with an older experienced woman will most certainly boost your confidence ...it doesnt matter whether you paid for it or not...it still verifies your manhood and makes you feel better. It just doesnt involve the part of seducing the woman. Having sex and making love is not the same thing, the need to have sex is primal and is driven by hormones and visual stimulation. You say paying for it is pathetic but its certainly better than being forced to a path of sexual frustration and possibly raping a woman. Not to mention that there is no such thing as free sex, all relationships cost money to maintain.

Am not saying that i support prostitution or women trafficing however if some women willingly choose such a life who are we to judge them?

I would definately take my son to a brothel in the case he hasnt had sex until the age of 18 but only if he wanted to. For example I do believe that you cannot be a man unless you had sex but on the same time just having sex does not make you a man. I would also like my daughter to be sexually active from the age of 17-18 if that is going to help her mature faster. I do believe that forcing sexual restrictions to your children denies them of the opportunity to think for themselves and the adequate experience to choose suitable partners in the future, Doing so only creates frustration waiting to explode with dramatic consequences.

How many times does one have to say this?
Rape is sexual only in the commission of the crime. Its purpose has less to do with sexual pleasure / relieving frustration, and more with gaining power, dominance, and forcing humiliation over someone rendered helpless and ashamed, regardless of their gender, age, or social standing.

Most rapists of every type have, or COULD have, active sexual lives with willing, appropriate partners / spouses, so frustration with a lack of activity / access is NOT the primary motivator. So much for that as a reason to access prostitutes (many of whom have identified as rape victims themselves. Hooray for their "liberation"-- NOT.)

You can be a man or woman without ever having had sex. You can be a man without ever having sired a child, or a woman without ever having borne one. (If she was still live, I'd say ask Mother Teresa!) Maturity comes from constructive interaction with others, and making solid decisions considering long-tern consequences, not acting on impulse or every grubby physical fantasy.

Encouraging one's children to become sexually active before they have completed their educations, have stable incomes (with medical insurance!) and, most desirably, marriage, are looking at a bleak future of often incurable STDs, unplanned / unwanted pregnancies that must be dealt with, and continuing emotional havoc and confusion for either sex.

"Shake me up, Judy!"

I agree. Becoming a man or women is something that happens over time and I believe has little to do with sex.

Well spoken.

My dad didn't do this, but I remember in high school, boys were telling stories about their dad taking them or along with their teen friends to a whorehouse (and the dad being greeted with a "Hello, Costas" there). The latter was usually the focus of discussion and laughter much more than the act itself which did or did not happen.

This is from a Greek perspective but I suspect the same holds for Italy as well. At least it used to, 20 years ago.

I like Armageddon. A lot.

there's actually a whorehouse in Las Vegas shown in a documentary where some 60+ year old woman takes her 30+ year old son. she's even present with feedback when they go through the rundown of all the possible services. so this fictional father son outting isn't too shocking to me

It's a very common thing in a lot of cultures even to this day. You'll see it often in coming-of-age European movies, especially Italian movies come to mind.
