worst movie ever?

Uuuuugh this movie is awful. I've seen ALOT of bad movies, but this one takes the cake for worst. At least most of those other bad movies didnt try as hard as this one.
first off, the acting, uuugh. completely unbelievable and unrealistic, and incredibly cheesey. who would have thought that carl brashear was the bravest greatest man in the world. ever second cuba gooding jr was on screen it made me physically angry, i started hitting my asian friend really hard.
the directing, sweet jesus did this guy try too hard. he made every scene seem like some epic, with the standard emotional music playing and the tears and bla bla bla. This movie shows everything that is wrong with movies nowadays. It is an awful movie in disguise of a moving story, and so many people have fallen for it. At least movies like the upcoming Bad Boys 2 understand how awful they are and admit it. siiigh well i am going to do some major damage to myself to take the pain away that watching this movie has caused me. goodbye

benathylala, definitely! I agree with you 100%! What a pile of feces!
This was truly the film that convinced me that De Niro had COMPLETELY lost it!

I agree, the movie STUNK. But you have to realize that GREEDY Hollywood pigs make films like this and there are always not-so-bright people that actually think THIS is unique and good. It is neither!!

Do you even know this movie is based on a true story?Just curious. If you hate it simply because you hate Cuba Gooding, that is pretty vain and it sounds like you wouldn't like it on that alone.Forget it is Cuba and try it again.

Well he shoulda' armed himself if he's gonna' decorate his saloon with my friend.

True stories are usually pretty boring. Or at least short: diver loses leg, fights to keep job. This movie is completely mindless, but Cuba may have the most negative charisma of any actor. Even worse than Forest Whitaker--seems impossible just to type that, but it's true.

was i watching the same movie to all you BS haters, this was one of the most emotionally gripping and inspirational stories i've ever seen. Go ahead make jokes all you want, but its cooks like you who sought to bring down great men like bashier

I loved watching this movie. I thought it was done very well, but with Hollywood you know they are going to fabricate some things in telling of the story about the real person it is based upon.
