The Worst Movie of all Time?

if not the WORST, this is one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my entire life. I'm seriously not sure if everyone praising this movie are being sarcastic or just retarded. This movie makes no sense at all, a muddled story with 2 lesbians and weird *beep* happening and then the end.

Did i miss something?

PS: don't give me the philosophical BS answer like its a commentary on Hollywood or explain the message of the movie. I get all that but that doesn't make it a great movie, the idea is great but the execution not so great. Just because it has great "themes" doesn't make it a great movie if it's not executed right.

UnknownVillain,

Well... you see...

It's a deep commentary on modern sexual mores, and the way each of us presents ourselves differently in different situations, to the point that we almost function like more than one person.

It's a film, largely (and DEEPLY), about identity and the crises we all face with issues of identity.

If you like those ideas then I can tell you in detail how this movie analyzes class structure and comments on the influence of Class on the Russian and French Revolutions. This film also subtly suggests that the English Monarchy (as compared with those of France and Russia) learned enough from history to avoid similar fates.

The other theme in this film is the unreliability of modern western democracy -- so in a sense this film was prescient about the recent chaotic American election.

Okay, so... Nah I'm just kidding. I was just making stuff up. It's just a really weird movie. If it doesn't work for you, that's fair. I found it interesting and fun to think about.

I rated it a 1/10. I went from being initially mad at myself for wasting 2.5 hours of my life to being angry at the writer/director for wasting my fucking time. This movie was so. god. damn. slow. Bad writing. Bad acting. Bad soundtrack. Bad visuals. It was PAINFUL to sit through and I'm really upset that I did so. David Lynch burned me with Blue Velvet and now he burned me with this. Never again!

With topics like this I often feel the poster isn't reviewing the movie but he is reviewing himself. Having an opinion doesn't automatically make it a good opinion.

Good analysis.

This is definitely a case of a VHS player (the OP’s brain) trying to play a blu-ray and melting down.

It was meant to be a pilot for a TV show where the rest of the rest of the show would explain it all.
