How Did You Find This Movie?

When I was 16 or so, I was up late with my parents, just one of those weird nights where no one could sleep, time seem to be passing really quick, and it was 3 in the morning, my mother was still working, my father was downstairs raiding the fridge, and I had been on the computer, another endless night working on my novel. My room being downstairs right next to the living room, I heard this interesting talk, my parents started to argue as to whether Christopher Lloyd was the Professor from Back to the Future, and I came out to settle it, and it was Interstate 60. Of course, I didn't know that then. We changed the channel, my dad eventually came back to it, around the drug scene. It was on Channel 4, or 5, and we were just watching it. And I really liked it. I thought it was really good. But I got tired and went to sleep.

About two years later, I'm in a bookstore, Barnes and Nobles, and I got to their movie section, and there it is, Interstate 60. I see it and the title catches my eye. I read the back and decided, what the hell? I decided to buy it. I brought it home and just absolutely loved the movie.

Four years later, I still watch the movie.

I was vacationing in Paris in 2003 and this movie was showing at a film festival there. I saw the movie at the time and completely fell in love with it. I came back to the US expecting it to show up in theaters, and I could never understand why it went straight to video, especially with all the big names associated with it.

Just watched it for first time! Loved the bit when the hitcher gets a wee surprise from Gary Oldman! I laughed real loud. (I don't think I've ever laughed at Gary Oldman before) This is a really good and funny film.

It had Amy Jo Johnson and Ann-Margret in it. As simple as that.

I didn't find this movie. It found me.

I saw it on TV 4-5 years ago. My favorite movie. Amazing history, screenplay.

Netflix predicted I would give it a 3.9/5, and I try to watch any sf or fantasy movie with 3.6 or better. I saw it tonight, thoroughly enjoyed it, and give it a 78/100. Do the math! A little gem of a flick, not without some flaws, but with real freshness and originality. (For me, 75-79 is definitely recommended, glad I didn't miss it.)

Prepare your minds for a new scale of physical, scientific values, gentlemen.

It was on HBO or something and caught part of the movie. Then went to Blockbuster and rented it. This was like 2006.

Simply put, it was one of the trailers from another movie I had rented at Blockbuster around 2005, back when they used to put previews for movies on all rentals.

I vaguely remember them saying, "From the co-creator who brought you Back to the Future", and, that it had Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox in it. I knew it was something I had to definitely check out. I wound up buying the DVD immediately thereafter.

I'm just a bit saddened that there's no high definition version of this movie. I just recently popped in my copy of this DVD and still thoroughly enjoy it to this day.

I'm also a bit puzzled as to why this movie was never released in theaters. It certainly did not deserve the direct-to-video treatment.
