Why couldn't Alonzo afford to supply QUALITY products to that neighborhood?

Hi, I was just wondering, in a scene where Alonzo pays a visit to those hoods in that neighborhood, and where he says "Believe it or not, I do try and do some good for the community", its quite obvious some if not all the products he supplies are basically cheap knock offs, I mean, instead of SONY, you have knock offs like "SUNY", and it didn't say bother him that he may also receive a COMPLAINT from them, but why did he supply cheap knock offs instead of genuine authentic stuff?

Did he not have enough money? Or, what?

Plus, those cheap knock off products may not work for instance, and if I was in their shoes I'd be somewhat pissed off about it, I never bought and gave as presents or contributed to the communities stuff that is obviously cheap knock off, I mean, SUNY instead of SONY? Pfff, come on!
