Worst of the Nine

Hands down, this is the worst of the nine Star Wars films.

As somebody who did not watch it until a few years ago, I have to disagree. It's clearly the only prequel film that Lucas really had any attachment to. It does still have the same flaws that all the prequels have, but it's the most improved of the three, has the best performances (Jackson, McDermdiot, and McGregor all deliver their mediocre lines with top tier conviction), it has the best direction of the three bar-none, and the least mediocre writing of the three, with quite a few genuinely excellently done moments. On its own, it additionally has some great action scenes. I'll admit it still is pretty lame in a lot of parts, it still has some really cringe-worthy dialog, jarring attempts at humor (especially in the first act with all the quirky droid humor), and it's definetly not good in the same way any of the original trilogy is. Instead, I'd say it's a really good campy action film that's good in the same way The Mummy or Spider-Man 2002 is. They're actually a pretty good trilogy of films, all from around the same time period.

I'd say this ranks 5th. I saw all the films across a few days, and the prequels and sequel trilogies I had never seen before until then. This one stood out as a lot better when compared to 1, 2, 7, and 9.
