I don't care what you say, this movie is not bad!

First, I never expected a full-out action packed movie like Star Wars or Avengers, or 007, it's not one of these type of movies.

But it has plenty of aliens, mystery, and suspense.

It's also got Mulder and Scully & Skinner relationship so well.

So, really I don't understand the complaints about this movie, it's great as it is.

I think the only people think it's bad, WANT it to be bad in the first place.

Great movie. Very rewatchable too. This one has it all and the pacing is fantastic.

I thought it was a very good movie. I loved the addition of Martin Landau. I thought it had an epic theatrical feel and look, loved the direction by Bowman, it was shocking and funny and I can only guess fans wanted Mulder and Scully to hook up, also Gillian Anderson never looked more stunning than she did in this film.

I just watched this movie for the first time since my last rewatch of the original X-Files seasons/movies (everything before the 2016 season) about 7 years ago. It still holds up really well as a stand-alone movie and makes sense even though it’s been awhile since I have watched anything X-Files. I think people who don’t like it either were expecting more answers (fans who don’t understand that an ongoing series can’t give away everything at once) or were expecting something more epic, action-heavy (ie Independence Day, Jurassic Park). It’s really good for what it is.
