... women being impregnated by aliens and have their stomachs and torsos exploding became really tasteless, grating and unpleasant after a while and really rather dragged the movie down for me and made it more of a chore to sit through.

And this is coming from a guy who has appreciated many gory horror and sci-fi films, from the Alien movies, and I even thought the original Species from 1995 was pretty good, to Peter Jackson's outrageously gory horror comedy "Braindead" (aka "Dead Alive") (1992) (which also had a zombie baby even) to Body Melt (1993), "From Dusk Till Dawn" (1996) and even (as strange as that may sound) its two sequels, Texas Blood Money and The Hangman's Daughter and others...

And in general sense, I found this sequel to be rather mediocre and dull, and I wouldn't be able to rate it much higher than at best a 4 out of 10.

And the overall dullness of the picture and lack of originality, as well as the flawed screenplay, variable and mostly average performances, routine direction made it mostly difficult to appreciate for me, and the gore I found rather gratuitous and pointlessly unpleasant, and combined with the above flaws, it made me overall not to appreciate the movie.

Those particular aforementioned gore was neither in itself entertaining and I found it too unnecessary and unmotivated with how it was handled etc for it to be respectably disturbing and "necessary" within the context even for this aiming to be adult horror genre so it didn't work or reach its intended target but was just gratuitous and unpleasant for its own sake.

This sequel was nothing more than a showcase for Natasha's beautiful face and beautiful body. If you want to watch a good/bad Sci-Fi movie about aliens impregnating women just watch "Inseminoid" instead of this.

Actually, there are BETTER movies than "Inseminoid".. check out "Humanoids from the Deep..! " 1980, you'll get sexy chicks boinked. your typical Roger Corman movies..!

I've seen just about every 1980s Corman flick, but I've yet to see that one.

This was kind of like an 80s Corman movie, at their most gross and exploitative, but with a 35 million budget.

Like I said in a previous post, it was basically a two-hour showcase for a flawlessly beautiful, but completely naked Natasha Henstridge.

I didn't think any of these movies were all that good (I've seen four of them- there might be more) but they certainly were chock full of stunningly beautiful women. I always wondered why they killed of Natasha so quickly in the third one. That never made much sense to me. The other girls were beautiful too, but Natasha was the selling point of the franchise.

The third one was a SyFy channel movie. They added some nudity and more gore when it was put out on DVD. It's budget was a lot lower.

I didn't know that it was made for Sy-Fy. That's a big step down from the first two. Although, I guess that that makes sense considering the second one didn't make much money.

The film studio should have worked harder on the script instead of relying on Natasha's incredible looks as the selling point.

I heard that she had a bad agent and as a result she turned down a role in "Independence Day" and another huge Sci-Fi Blockbuster (offhand I can't remember what it was) from around the same time. I can only assume that if she had starred in "Independence Day" she would have been the woman who played Jeff Goldblum's wife.

I believe that as a result of those two missed opportunities she signed on for "Ghosts of Mars" pretty quickly. She still looked amazing in "Ghosts of Mars", but the movie isn't good. However, it can be fun and entertaining to watch from time to time, but it still isn't a good film.

I expected her to go much further as an actress than she did. She was a competent enough actress, and looks wise, she was absolutely flawless.
