U-turn's impossible to take your eyes from. I always succumb to it and fall into some sort of trance when I watch it. Bobby's got so much sh!t to deal with.
I'm not a big Oliver Stone fan, but this film has always been one of my absolutely favorites and it's in a leauge of its own. The only semi-recent film that somewhat reminds me of it is 'Breakdown' with kurt russel.
A real cult classic.

Nice to see Breakdown get a mention. That's a movie I saw in the theaters and have loved ever since. A bit different, but I also enjoy the beginning of The Good Son, when Elijah Woods & father are driving their jeep through the Utah landscape.
Sadly, I went to see Destiny Turns On the Radio in the theaters hoping for that same car-driving-through-red-rocks sublime feeling, but nope. Movie sucked ass.

I love Breakdown and U-turn as well! Never particulary liked any other Stone movie but this is one of my all time favs. Anyone seen the River Phoenix half-finished movie Dark Blood? In the shots of it I've seen it looks kinda similar to these two
