(Obvious SPOILERS) So, she has $450,000 with her. And, she's traveling internationally. So, she has to go through x-ray machines with it. And, given that she's traveling internationally, she would likely be subject to closer scrutiny.

Does she have it still in cash? Couldn't that be a potential problem? Plus, you would think that the ATF or the Feds could still be watching her, at least in the shorter term. I know that the guns are what they were focused on. But, you would think they would still wonder about her involvement in what happened.

What do you think?

maybe she's going to subcontract moving the money to someone with less heat on them.

it occured to me watching the movie that there must be easier ways to move 1/2 million, after all crimianls, drug dealer , and the wealthy use "offshore accounts" all the time.

Maybe she (or previusly jackson) could find a mid size business with an ameniable owner and get them to transfer it under some fake contract.

I thought the same thing.

But this was before everyone accessed the Internet so easily.

People that were paid in cash/lived a crime lifestyle using cash —under the radar—wanted to see that cash.

pre-2001 I don't know if they'd have been as stringent with the checks....hand luggage still went through scanners though....maybe because she was cabin crew, she'd have just been waved through. That appears to happen in the opening sequence.

This would be before 9/11. She would have gone through metal detectors but no x-ray machines or anything.

There have been X-ray machines in use at airport security checkpoints since the 1970's. A rash of hijackings back then is what put those into place. They have been in use continually since then.

I’m talking about the big body scanners. Things ramped up between the time this movie came out and what we’ve seen at airports since 2001.
