Who else thinks this is the best of the three?

You read that right, the BEST of the three. I do think so. I like this kid better than Caulkin, because this kid has something that Caulkin never had. Complete innocence! (well, mostly innocence hehehe) I think the traps in this movie are more believable because of this. The most insane, idiotic trap works, because the kid is so innocent, and he believes that it will! There is no way that the remote control car could have made that jump up the snow bank and over the road, but it works because the kid believes that it will! If you or I tried the exact same stunt with the exact same model car, it probably wouldn't have made it up the ramp. However, this little kid is innocent enough to believe that the car can make it, and so the car does! This is why I like this movie better. The child's complete innocence drives his traps, and it drives this movie!

Part 3 is the most all around family movie, and also the coolest! I don't really like Macalay. C very much! Alex D Linz is soo much better! His character is not that mean like Kevin who was using glas, spiders, and things like that! Alex is smarter and a better "Kevin" at all points! I didn't expect this to be a special movie at all, when i first watched it, but it was rocking! Nr 1 HAS after all that more mysterious mode, and better music, but nr 3 is my favourite!

Yes I think it's far and away the best but for goodness sake 'his innocence drives his traps because he believes they will work' When i was small i thought i could fly but i couldnt I never tried that again I just thought this was better because the kid was better the crooks were good too and also in home alone 1 i didnt like the growing up storyline home alone 2 was practically a remake but mainly because it was differant than the others rather than yet another home alone 1 just in adifferant place

I do. I rate the first three 10/10, but this is in my top 50.

How do you people not fall down more...I know it's your opinions but how can any of you actually consider the 3rd one as a good movie. The first one was great, the 2nd was ho hum...but the 3rd on just licked donkey sack

"The most insane, idiotic trap works, because the kid is so innocent, and he believes that it will!"

Give me a break, at least the first one had traps that weren't really outlandish

reply

Home Alone just ISN'T Home Alone without Macaulay Culkin! The third one sucked!!

reply

Third one was the best the chip was unrealistic but it gave the crooks an excuse to be after the kid and the most realistic reason why he was home alone hysterical when Ungers dressed as the old man and throws his walking stick away

Macaulay Culkin MAKES Home Alone!!!!

reply

agreed. thats the way i like it. kid goes through what might be a miserable life, goes to town at it, becomes a hero and most importantly destroys any obviously bad perception others had of him.

Kevin made the Home Alone franchise. Who acres if Alex took on 4 professionals, they were dumber than the Sticky Bandits. I mean, falling for a cardboard nude woman in the shower, that's RIGHT in front of you is UGHHHH!!!!!! BTW, what made Alex smarter than Kevin? Kevin was more aggressive and Alex was useless.

As for the best movie, the first two always come first. The first was classic because it started it all, and the second took place in NYC which was awesome.

As for Kevin vs Alex, if you gave both prep time to make traps to kill each other, the winner would be Kevin. I can see it now....

Alex(watching Kevin with the radio control car, along with the parrot and mouse on the look out) Got ya!

Kevin(turns around and looks into the camera lens and points at Alex)]

Alex is confused, then suddenly turns around and sees Buzz's tarantula. Alex screams, accidently backs up and falls down a hole that Kevin built earlier. Alex is a bloody mess, but is unaware of the finale....

Kevin then cuts down a giant weight that was on top of the hole this entire time, and it squashes him flat. Kevin does his wise ass smirk and presses a play button on the VCR and the famous words utter....

"Keep the Change ya Filthy Animal"

And to add insult to injury, the parrot says:

"And the crowd goes wild"

Winner: Kevin McCallister.

^ thats the funniest thing i've seen from a home alone related thing since last watching one of the first two.

One thing missing in this film was a moment where the main character does something that makes him out as a nicer person, only to be brought back down to earth by a yell from the house;
"KEVIN! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY ROOM!?"

"Jack's dead my friend...."
