Did Christine (Deborah Kara Unger's character) really deserve to be fired like that off her restaurant job?

I mean, OK she wasn't too polite to Michael Douglas' "Nicholas Van Orten" character and then also told off her manager like that, but as wrong as it was, were they right to fire her from her job like that?

I mean - lots of people have tantrums, moments of anger etc at work and yes a lot of them do get into verbal attacks and/or even physical ones, and sometimes, they can be driven to that state based on what someone said to them etc and it is not uncommon to make people nervous.

But why sack a person like that based on ONE moment?

Hell, maybe they could've given her character a warning and/or a few days to apologize and sort it out, no?

She was only hired to get fired. Part of the game...

Yes. Wondering how the OP missed this...

She wasn't really an employee and neither was her boss. Both were part of RCS

I'm going to go ahead and assume this was an attempt at some sort of ironic meta humor. I refuse to believe anyone who can type and spell could be this incredibly stupid.
