One of David Fincher's Worst film

This has got to be one of his worst film off his filmography list. It doesn't even deserve to be in the Criterion Collection.

Top 3 would be:
1. Fight Club
2. Seven
3. The Social Network

Least Favorite:
1. The Game

What are your thoughts?

I'd say it's his most entertaining film, although maybe not his best. It's a glorious parade of implausibility after implausibility . . and it's a blast. It's a movie so high on its movie-ness that I find it impossible not to just go along with it.

I thought it was fantastic. Even the ending, ridiculous and predictable in equal measure, doesn't undermine the fun for me. To me it's a little like a nocturnal North by Northwest or something, you just get swept along on the momentum, the bravado of the filmmaking.

Troll.

Well it's not as bad as Alien3 or The Social Network I guess, but yeah it's not great. Just saw it for the first time. What a disappointing ending. This could have been a classic. :(

You need to lay off those bad drugs, kid.

By the looks of it, it’s one of his most underrated. It’s intricately crafted, engrossing, and exceptionally acted. Ridiculous? That’s part of the fun.

I would definitely consider it one of his best compared to the likes of The Social Network, myself. Yeah, I may be in the minority but apart from being well-made (riveting score score by Reznor), TSN never intrigued me like many other Fincher films (including The Game). Love it or hate, The Game is certainly one of Fincher’s most daring films.

Excellent movie!! And to those mentioning The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, that's another brilliant movie and closer to the book, than the Swedish one (also very good).
