Big Big Big Mistake In The Movie!!!

Rachel (Linda Hamilton) Invites Harry (Pierce Brosnan) For Dinner, afterwards he plays games and does tricks to entertain the kids and after him and Rachel
go outside to talk. There is a very big mistake done in this film, and I mean big mistake. Rachel states: "I haven't seen him (my ex-husband) in quite a while, tri six years, that's quite a while." she continues by saying: "I don't think she'll admit it, but I know Ruth (her ex-mother in law) knows where he is". How is it possible for Rachel not to have see her ex-husband in 36 years, when her children (whom she procreated with her ex-husband) are only 8!!!!!.
You can't say she is talking about somebody else because Ruth (her ex-mother in law, obviously her ex-husband's mother) is the grandmother of her kids!!!
How could they have committed such a big mistake?????

In so many ways I feel sorry for the OP. They made a small (read: monumental) mistake and have been paid out relentlessly about it ever since. And I am sitting here chuckling at the number of people lining up to pay out on the person. Hillarious! So, to mark the 4 year anniversary of such blatant stupidity - the word you are looking for is "Try"; not tri.

Keep up the good work.

Rachel says she hasn't seen her husband in 6 years. Both kids are older than 6, so where's the mistake?

reply

Because he thought she said "tri 6 years." As in triple 6 years, which as someone pointed out is 18 not 36.

Who the hell would even say "tri 6" if they meant 18? I wouldn't say I've been working in my six year job for tri 2 years. That would just be weird.

THIS THREAD IS HILARIOUS!!!!!!!

LOL

It took me a while to see this thread but DAMN!!!! This reeks of Epic Failure! I honestly hope that the OP was just trying to yank our chains.

Hahaha, this is so funny. I'm watching the movie now, and came on here to see what the girl who plays Lauren is in now, and came across this. I'm so going to laugh when that part comes :)

Simple math my friend...

Let's say... they had their children in 1989 (eight years before the events in the film), but it took two more years before they finally split up in 1991.

Kid arrives in 1989 when they're still together. They divorce in 1991

How do you not see that?

reply

OP is the perfect example of what's wrong with kids today.

I'll let you in on a secret. People weren't using street slang much in 1997. If they did, they were most likely rappers.

To think Rachel used such a flagrant street lingo to describe her situation to Harry is one of the weirdest things I've ever seen on this website.

reply

Well obviously Rachel is a gangster. She also got married before the age of 4 years old, if we assume that Linda Hamilton's character is around 40 like the actress was when this movie was filmed.

THE BIG<BIG MISTAKE WAS THE MOVIE ITSELF AND THE SAD PART IS THAT A GREAT TALENT..MR PIERCE BROSNAN HD TO LOWER HIMSELF TO BE IN THIS FORGETTABLE FILM

Glad to see this thread is still going, first saw it a couple of years ago (or i should say 'tri 1 years ago') and nearly choked with laughter.

Thank you OP for making me smile

If you never fail, you're not trying hard enough

This thread has been going for like, try 6 years, that must be close to the record.
I see the OP hasn't posted for a few years and liked S.W.A.T. It just kept getting worse.
All he/she had to do was delete to save further embarrassment.

reply

Yup, let's keep this thread going to the end of the internets.

My favourite part was when he thought she said tri, instead of tri - and that tri six = 36.

That and that he was so accusative. But in the end, oh so wrong.
