Why doesn't this play on Disney anymore??

I used to love this movie, and now remembering, there were so many other "non-Disney Channel" movies that used to play on television. Does anybody remember any of the other movies that used to play on Disney Channel in the 90s?

I think it's because it says hell in it or some other "curse" word not sure. thats just what I heard, if I'm wrong I apologize

They probably don't play it because the themes are more mature than anything on the channel these days. The girls have vague dialogue about sex and sexuality which Disney tends to shy away from these days.

Its pretty ridiculous. They're banning their own movies in a way. Its like they're thinking these movies were okay for young people of the previous generation, but not okay for tweens today?

Even back when they aired it, some parts were censored or removed entirely (Danielle Harris' risqué dancing scene was cut to just a few seconds; Harris asking her friend whether she thinks her older sister "does it" with her boyfriend was completely cut out; though the discussion between the sisters about virginity and morality was untouched).

The reason these movies no longer air on Disney Channel probably has to do with the network's decision to cater to a much younger demographic. The switch to more juvenile programming has apparently been successful commercially, even if most of their output has been awful when compared to the older stuff (IMO). I do like some of their new animated series, like Gravity Falls.

It's mainly because they have toned Disney down way too much so much that the teens act like children like on Good Luck Charlie and Austin and Ally. Some movies air every now and then. In fact they show Luck of the Irish around St. Patrick's Day a lot during the day.
