virginity

I remember when i first saw this movie. I was about five or six. I feel in love with it (not knowing what much of it meant.) I wanted the older sisters entire wardrobe. But the only puzzling thing was virginity. I had no idea what they were talking about. The line went something like, "You steal my boobs, my boyfriend, and what next my VIRGINITY?"

my mom was asleep on the couch so i went and woke her up asking. "What is virginity?" she said something about marrige which made no sense to me so I went on a couple more years knowing nothing about the subject. This movie made much of my childhood.

one question: Was there a scene when one of the sisters wears a dominatrices outfit?

HAHA yeah, I definitely asked my mom what a hickey was and I remember she was just like "What are you watching?" "Disney!" Hahaha I'm not surprised they don't show this movie anymore.

I remember watching this movie and thinking the little sister was sooo mean.
And then that part where Alex was making out with her boyfriend and her little sister says to her friend: "Do you think they...did it?"
I was soo confused cuz I didn't know what "it" was.

You would NEVER see that on a Disney movie today.

I love how everyone's parents explained it differently. "What you are until you fall in love." "What you are until you get married." I'd probably tell my kid something like that too haha.

I didn't come upon the word virginity in this movie but I'm sure when I was about 8 I asked my mom what a virgin is. She said "Someone who's never had sex." And I said, "oh." and went about my business.
I don't get why parents are so afraid to tell there kids what sex is. My mommy was a Guidance Counselor at a high school and she was very pen about those sort of stuff. And I'm glad.

You know, it's kinda funny. I knew what a virgin was as a kid. My mom said what sex was just didn't go into detail or let us watch it in movies until we got to about 5th grade or so. That's why I've always liked this movie- DCOM and Nickelodeon in the 90s actually had adult humor for kids and most of us got the jokes and humor. =P

I was about 12 when I first watched it and I've seen it multiple times since. I was impressed by Katherine Heigl's performance and I thought she was the most perfect creature alive^^ The first movie I had seen with her was "Daddy Cool and I was so happy to see her on ROSWELL and later on Grey's Anatomy, shes gorgeous and aged well<3

I'm beginning to understand this now. It's all about the journey, isn't it?
Why are you dressed like somebody died?
- Wait.

Did they say that line on the Disney Channel?
I used to love this movie, though.

In the 90s, they did, yeah. When I was a kid, I believe I was 5 or 6 or so when I first saw this movie, ratings weren't AS strong and dumb as now-a-days. They said and did all sorts of funny stuff on TV. That's why I loved 90s tv so much and haven't really watched tv since then.
