Underrated bad ass movie!
I enjoyed every minute of this movie. I don't know how it can be rated so low. Sure, it's a little cheesy, but it's still awesome.

One of my all time favs, always has been. Strong atmosphere, gritty action, fatally flawed characters, all good. I still wince at the scene where Willis puts on his Fedora in the mirror. Never seen him looking so bad and good at the same time. There's a lot more right with this film than wrong. One of Willis's best for sure.
shareAwesome movie and cast
8/10
I must become someone else. I must become something else.
Batfleck and Gal Gadot will Prevail

More like overrated wannabe bad ass movie but fails hard and lands with a faceplant...it isnt bad ass with unrealistic plot holes and logic...this movie sucks...just watch a fistfull of dollars instead...i wish that some day there will be a good movie adaption of the book The Red Harvest, where all of these movies got their ideas from, that would have been bad ass.
~If the realistic details fails, the movie fails~
I just finished re-watching this again and it held steady as it's paced pretty well from start to finish as my interest in it holds steady throughout as the general mood of the movie helps sell it as it's one of the best action types of movies out there that's boosted by Bruce Willis doing what he does best which is play those bad ass types well. Christopher Walken is solid to as this is my favorite role of his. also, i think the score helps boost it a bit to which ads to the general feel/tone of the movie. it's also my favorite movie of the directors to. one of Bruce Willis best movies.
7.5-8/10 ; my #3 movie of 1996.
p.s. i see i had a post just over 5 years ago now in this topic.
