Seen this movie a few times, and I was just watching it on Encore. They removed all references to Islam and Infidels, why does Hollywood spend so much time trying to make compromises to people that will always hate us. That will behead you simply for not only, not being Muslim, but not being their type of Muslim.

Funnier still is it will all be put in there in the first place to get people who may be thinking or anticipating this to be the case in the movie to begin with, then it is changed later on.
In the end, it doesn't matter.
This movie could be ripped from ever being shown again because BD Wong is gay or Kurt Russell isn't married to Goldie Hawn. It isn't the people who are allegedly offended that is the problem, it is that outer-ring group going "this will offend someone."
We don't know who or why, but they will be offended!
It's what we are still seeing today with Duck Dynasty, Paula Deen and now Bill Cosby; someone will get upset, let's cover it up and act like it was never there.
Hell, this is what Hollywood did during the Viet Nam war. Let's not reference to it or make a movie about it or comment on it, the entire time it was going on.
All the movies about it came out afterward. Compare that to the WWII flicks.

Hmmm. I'm watching this on Encore East HD on DirecTV. All of the original references to Islam, Qu'ran, infidel, etc are still here.

However, I did see this a couple of years ago on Encore, and it most definitely had been dubbed as others have pointed out. I took note at the time of what network was running it. The dialogue had been edited, but not the closed captioning, which is what made me take notice of it in the first place.
The movie was playing the next day on HBO, and I recorded it and skipped to the scenes in question, and the original dialogue was intact.
I can only assume that the studio or owners of the film must have put together a "non-Islam" version for distribution to be "PC", since the dubbed version used the original actors voices. I don't think Encore alone could have done that. For whatever reason, Encore now appears to have gone back to the original.

This movie was released in 1996. You and most of the idiots complaining had never heard of Islam in 1996. Stop your whining and grow your own pair so you can stop living in fear of an enemy that doesn't care two shi#ts about you.
Oh please, I have studied history all my life, consequently I know a great deal about the problems of Islam. Like how the entire Middle East was Judeo-Christian until Mohammed started a religion and ordered Jihad.
Or how the Crusades were a response to Muslims taking over the Holy Land and then conquering Europe. Until they were pushed back. At one point Muslims controlled about 65% Europe, including France, Portugal, and Spain etc.

Unfortunately, the terrible dubbing towards the end where David Suchet's character is being threatened by one of the terrorists is very clearly, very badly dubbed. Clearly done to remove all religious references.
And it seems that the original dub refers to Algeria; this one definitely referred to Aldonia.
i thought you mean the special forces team - a chinese man, hispanic man & black man in team. this film is ahead of its time in 1996 with PC representations.
i suppose joel silvers is original pc producer who demand diversitys in his film!
