Anyone in their 20's or older who like this movie??

I love this movie and I'm in my 20's. I got this as a christmas present last christmas from an aunt in a two-pack with The secret garden. I love both of them. The actress who played Sara did a wonderful job. I'm surprised she's not very popular.

I'm in my 50's and I adore this movie. One of the most beautiful films I have ever seen.

Well, I do like this version, but having grown up in the 70s/80s with the original version, I will always prefer that version. Same with The Secret Garden (though the book will always be superior). The newer version of The Secret Garden was OK until Mary and her cousin did that "magic ritual" to get her uncle to come back (not in the original movie, OR the book), and after that, I am usually too rankled by that scene to enjoy the rest of the movie (add to that, that I hated the near the end scene when the uncle does come back and unites with his son, and Mary essentially throws a temper tantrum, which completely derails all the growth she'd done throughout the story, and again, is NOT in the book), hence why I prefer the original. As to the original version of A/The Little Princess? I'm simply a big time Shirley Temple fan, so I like most of the movies she's been in, and The Little Princess happens to be a favorite.

I'm 23. This was one of my childhood movies, but now as an adult I can really appreciate the storyline and characters a lot more. Miss Minchkin is an excellent character, in the sense that, she really makes a good villain.

ABSOLUTELY!!!!

I'm 23, and I've loved this movie for as long as I can remember. I don't know how old I was when I first watched it, but I had a copy of the video when I was little which I watched all the time. Recently found the movie on iTunes and immediately bought and downloaded it so that I could watch it again. It's just a beautiful movie!

I used to prefer the Shirley temple one when I was younger but in hindsight it's kind of shallow and just another 'watch Shirley be cute' flick. I love the message behind this, and the music, and the speech Sarah says about all girls being princesses has always stuck with me. I love the magic!

Wildcattin'...Wildcattin'. Pow! I'm gonna go.

I actually kinda hated this movie as a kid, but I suppose it was because I had different expectations of the story than what it provided. The Shirley Temple version was sweeter and more fun; not quite as harsh as this version was.

I remember watching this version of A Little Princess with my mom and we both fell in love with the story and I could relate to Sara Crewe in lots of ways like when Sara's father said goodbye and gave her her doll who was "her best friend" Emily and when I first saw that scene it reminded me of when my father would go to work at nights and leave me with my dolls to keep me company when I slept. I also got it for Christmas from my aunt on video with the same locket as the previous poster had and it never has stopped being enchanted for me because when you take a classic novel you can really feel the magic pour in. And with A Little Princess it's a magical film. As for Liesel Matthews she went on to star in Air Force One and she should try to make a comeback to Hollywood soon
