Anyone in their 20's or older who like this movie??

I love this movie and I'm in my 20's. I got this as a christmas present last christmas from an aunt in a two-pack with The secret garden. I love both of them. The actress who played Sara did a wonderful job. I'm surprised she's not very popular.

I think that most of the people who love this movie would now be in their 20s. It was a movie for kids of the late 80s and 90s.

I'm 27 and love this movie. It's easily one of my top five, if not number one. I've seen the Shirley Temple version and highly disliked that. Also saw the mini series and thought that was pretty good, but nowhere near as good as this one. I've read the book a few times and enjoyed it, but I think this is one of those rare cases when the movie is better than the book.

I also did a paper on the movie: when I was taking a class on children's literature and development, our final paper was to write about some book, TV show, movie, etc. that had a profound impact on us as a child, and how we relate to it today. I got a perfect score on that paper. :)

One of the aspects of the movie that is better than the book is that Sara actually has spunk. In the book, she uses the idea of a princess in order to make herself be generous with others. Also, she accepts harsh treatment because she feels that princesses must behave like this. Yes, you have to deal with unfairness in life, but you shouldn't just accept it. You have to fight against it and stand up for yourself. In the movie, she fights against her circumstances and holds onto her belief that every girl is a princess. In short, every girl has value, regardless of their social class or looks.

Now I want to go and watch the movie again!

I loved, loved, loved this movie as a little girl. I had a friend who owned the video and she kindly let me borrow it on several occasions. :) I also read the book, which is wonderful as well. I turned on my aunt's netflix account the other night and was amazed to find this movie there. I watched it thinking that it wouldn't be as good as I remembered and it wasn't....it was much, much better! I am 24 years old and i love this movie today just as much as I loved it in my childhood!

I also love both "A Little Princess" and "The Secret Garden", they were two of my favorite movies as a child, and now I'm 28, and I still love them both. I recently saw "A little princess" again on Netflix, and still cried my eyes out!

I'm a 44 year old woman and first saw this movie about 10 years ago - absolutely love it. While I'm a bit jealous of people who got to see it first as children and get that extra dose of 'magic' it brings, I enjoy seeing well-made, beautiful movies like this regardless of my age. Keeps me young at heart ;-)

I'm 22 (won't be able to say that for much longer) and I remember really enjoying this film. I haven't seen it for many years, I'm going to have to dig it out and watch it again. :)

Me too, and I'm not ashamed to say this out loud - I love this movie too and Liesel was mesmerizing!
