TIMECOP vs MINORITY REPORT

WHY

TIMECOP, having an R Rating, has a Hero that doesn't use Drugs.

MINORITY REPORT, having a PG-13, has a Hero that DOES Drugs.

It seems like the Violence and Rating should have been reversed.

TIMECOP didn't really have all that Hand-to-hand Violence and Blood. It's language gave it an R rating. The true Glory if this film comes the actual Time Travel itself. If it Had Been a PG-13 movie, it really wouldn't have lost much. It would still be a Prize Winning Sci-Fi Movie.

MINORITY REPORT was already Graphic and Violent in Nature so I don't see what the Big PG-13 was for.

People a seriously getting carried away with all this "censorship" of STRONG LANGUAGE. Violence is Violence. I think TIMECOP was less Violence and more SCI-FI.

Any thoughts?

Both:
-Set in future Washington DC
-similar main character who cant get over lost love one. Goes back to empty apartment watches/interacts with video
-deals with altering the future/altering events
-main character set up/has to go on the run
-villain is the guy in charge funding the thing
