God is a cheater...

and he's got a pretty twisted sense of humor too according to this film. I mean it's not like he's helping this team improve their own skills or giving them the power to win on their own. No he has to make it painfully easy for them to win. And then, in a cruel "ha ha *beep* you" he refuses to help them win the World Series. They weren't good enough to get to the world series in the first place. They didn't deserve that honor. Think of all the teams out there that didn't have Gods help, is that fair to them? And what for? Cus some stupid kid doesn't understand sarcasam and somehow just thinks if the Angels win he can get back together with his dad? I mean cus that makes sense right? Of all the horrible things happening in the world the one thing God goes out of his way for is to fu*k with this kids head?

THIS is why I never watched this film! The trailer on TV shows angels helping players CHEAT to WIN!! Really?? Is that what God and angels are all about? With all the problems in the world, angels are going to cheat for baseball players. The whole concept of this film looks horrific!!

God would never say that.

And he wouldn't do that either.

You have a twisted view of God.

It was more for a prayer being answered for Roger. He really wanted to be with his dad, again! As ridiculous that looks, the Angels played well to give Roger hope of reuniting with his dad.

Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls it's more democratic.

They were good enough to win on their own to make it to the World Series. Heck they won the AL Pennant without the Angels (Al told them championships have to be won on their own) and the Angels had to win the Pennant in order to get to the World Series. Makes me wonder if Mel Clark was able to pitch in the World Series after really being worked in that Pennant Series.

As for this story, it's just a movie.

Just be careful what you say though because a lot of hard core Christians, especially Protestants will remind people "God works in mysterious ways, we're not supposed to understand why one criminal gets his life saved and a good person dies in a freak accident."
