Deniros accent

It sounds like a combo of New England and Michigan. Does anyone think it sounds Northwestern?

The way he talked in this movie reminded me of Ed O'Neill/Al Bundy.

Never heard anyone in New England that sounds like that. I thought Wisconsin.

Deniro is terrible at accents (he murdered the accent in Cape Fear as well). I don't even get why it was necessary for his character to have an accent in this movie. It was very distracting. And as someone living in Michigan, I've never heard such an accent. It sounded like a failed attempt at a MN accent to me.

Ha. The whole character was over the top.
The accent only added to the exaggeration.
