The Joker episodes are very bad
And don't really fit with the tone. Unless it's something like Almost Got' Im. The other exception is The Laughing Fish, that one was good.

shareI like all of them. I admit though Christmas with the Joker is my least favorite. I did like the episode the April Fools Day episode. The Joker's favor was also good.
Green Goblin is great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1L4ZuaVvaw
Christmas is one of my favorite episodes even Joker's Favor.
What about Mad Love?
"If this is torture, chain me to the wall"-Oliver and Company
The other exception is The Laughing Fish, that one was good.

Joker's Favor is my fave episode.
"Jury Duty is my favorite movie ever"
The fact that it starred my all time favorite actor playing the Joker, how can I not love it?
In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.
I thought episodes that featured The Joker were very good to great most of the time. Wasn't a big fan of Be a Clown, Make 'Em Laugh, or Last Laugh, though I liked the score of Last Laugh.
shareThis was back when Joker was the merry prankster type, not the sadistic, chaotic monster he is now. Remember, this was long before Heath Ledger set the bar astronomically high as to how maniacal and scary the character could really be. BTAS Joker is a mix of Cesar Romero and Jack Nicholson: wacky prankster and genius gangster.
Heath Ledger set the bar nowhere, period. The BTAS Joker was a sadistic monster, Heath Ledger innovated nothing, I merely said the episodes were bad, not that the Joker was bad.
sharewow. willfully ignoring the impact Ledger had on the legacy of the Joker, I see.
shareyeah, would have liked to see that had he n ot died.
sharePreposterous, lots of actors have been able to elevate a comic book character to another level, and are still alive.
That's be like saying if Robert Downey Jr. had died at the end of Iron Man that THAT's what him perfect for the role and cause audiences to completly fall in love with the character.
Or Andrew Garfield as Spiderman.
Or Chris Hindleston as Loki
ect.
Ledger redefined the Joker in a completely fresh original way, he had the Joker's charisma, dark sense of humor, the insanity, the sadism.
Yet it wasn't just a by the books performance, the guy isolated himself for a month to study the character, gave him his own twist and interpretation.
if you're in denial about that then you're denial about reality.
Not true, The Joker became the sadistic monster he is today, way back in the late 70's. His prankster days were the 40's and 60's. Plus Ledger never played The Joker, he was playing Anarky in clown make up

Huh?
This Joker was a "merry prankster type?"
In the very first episode he kidnapped three people and destroyed a bridge in hopes of killing an entire set of passengers on a train.
Yes, this Joker was more of a wild card and he did things mainly for fun to see if Batman could stop him whereas Ledger's Joker was always trying to prove a point. In my mind, BTAS is more deranged because he's doing all of this for fun and as a game which is more sadistic.
I must disagree quite a bit.
The Laughing Fish has to be one of the darkest "comedic" episode of the entire series. It's closest The Joker ever gets to actually killing somebody. They even go as far as to make a metaphor for The Joker being a predator.
Joker's Favor is a classic, and a lot of fun. In fact it feels like a homage to the 60's series. Plus is was the introduction of Harley Quinn too.
Jokers Wild is also another Joker episode I like quite a bit. It feels like a fun Looney Tunes inspired episode. Akom's "cartoonish" actually works in the episodes favor this time, since it's not meant to be an "ultra-serious" episode.
All three of those episodes actually work quite a bit as a trilogy too. All were written by Paul Dini, and all deal with The Joker's ego and pride. Good stuff.
Aside from that, I also think Christmas With The Joker, The Man Who Killed Batman, Harley & Ivy, Harlequinade, and Make-Em-Laugh are all good episodes where The Joker is a major antagonist. In fact the only episode with The Joker that I don't like, is The Last Laugh, and I just mostly find that to be mediocre.
I wasn't waiting, I was just sitting and breathing. Got a problem with that?
The Laughing Fish scared me in the best possible way.
Not only was the Joker creepy and actually frightening but so was Batman. I remember a scene where Batman was driving to where the Joker was and the grim look on his face made me glad I wasn't a criminal. :D

Yeah, ha-ha, that was a great sequence. Really showed how scary Batman can be.
