Ive only recently watched this movie and was completely blown away by both Andy Garcia and Richard Geres performance. They were both so great, amazingly intense and just great to watch.

Whilst watching the scene when Peck kills Van Stretch, i thought Peck seemed genuinely upset with what he was having to do - does anyone else agree?

The director, Mike Figgis, revealed that the studio wanted Kurt Russell instead of Richard Gere. Mike wanted Gere as he had an ambiguous vibe, and he thought that Kurt would give a performance that was predictable.
