Good things about The Dream Child

A lot of people say that The Dream Child is the worst of the series, or simply that it sucks. But I have a lot of good things to say about it.

* Lisa Wilcox returns for another great performance as Alice. After Heather Langenkamp's Nancy, I think she's the best heroine of the series (as in I liked her more than Kristen, Maggie, Lori, and Rooney Mara's Nancy).

* Good performances from Kelly Jo Minter (although I hated her character), Erika Anderson, and Nicholas Mele. Danny Hassel didn't have much to do and Joe Seely was pretty wooden at times.

* A good story. I love this series for always having something new to do with each entry. Here, I loved the idea of Freddy using Alice's unborn child. It's disturbing and well done.

* The subtle sex scene during the credits was tastefully done, and Alice's nightmare of experiencing what Amanda Krueger went through was chilling.

* The death sequences are all very innovative and well done.

* The special effects are AMAZING.

* The film has a nice gothic style and I loved the Westin Hills set, as well as all of the crazy nightmare sets such as the comic book world and the upside down stairs.

* The score is very eerie, it's the best score of the series other than the original.

* I LOVE Let's Go by Kool Moe Dee which plays over the end credits.

Very slick for the time.

I like this one as well. I like all the original movies. They have their high and low points. I am still entertained by "Freddy's Dead" even tho it's one of the weaker entries in the series to me.

I'm finishing up watching the original series right now actually.

I enjoy this film a lot and think it's one of the better sequels. I enjoy the dark, surreal tone it has, the beautiful scenery, and the most disturbing death in any Nightmare on Elm Street film (Greta's death). Lots of people hate it but I can't understand why.
