Good things about The Dream Child

A lot of people say that The Dream Child is the worst of the series, or simply that it sucks. But I have a lot of good things to say about it.

* Lisa Wilcox returns for another great performance as Alice. After Heather Langenkamp's Nancy, I think she's the best heroine of the series (as in I liked her more than Kristen, Maggie, Lori, and Rooney Mara's Nancy).

* Good performances from Kelly Jo Minter (although I hated her character), Erika Anderson, and Nicholas Mele. Danny Hassel didn't have much to do and Joe Seely was pretty wooden at times.

* A good story. I love this series for always having something new to do with each entry. Here, I loved the idea of Freddy using Alice's unborn child. It's disturbing and well done.

* The subtle sex scene during the credits was tastefully done, and Alice's nightmare of experiencing what Amanda Krueger went through was chilling.

* The death sequences are all very innovative and well done.

* The special effects are AMAZING.

* The film has a nice gothic style and I loved the Westin Hills set, as well as all of the crazy nightmare sets such as the comic book world and the upside down stairs.

* The score is very eerie, it's the best score of the series other than the original.

* I LOVE Let's Go by Kool Moe Dee which plays over the end credits.

I agree, all us DC fans should unite!!!! It was a good movie I don't care what people say!

The past doesn't exist and the future is only an illusion.

I really like all of the Nightmare films, except Freddy's Dead is my least favorite. Even that I can enjoy, but The Dream Child is awesome!

To me there are a lot of good things about The Dream Child
1. The return of Lisa Wilcox as Alice my favorite character in the series
2. Excellent score
3. Underrted ending
4. Some of the best dream sequences in the entire series
5. Dan's and Greta deaths are great (unrated version)

Oh, I really agree with the Alice being one of the best heroines part. I loved Kristen and them, but I really loved Nancy and Alice more than any of the other girls in the series.

I loved all the characters, although I loved some more than others. Great/good acting. The story was a good idea. I think it's an underrated movie.

I have to say, after revisiting this movie tonight, I appreciate the film more than I used to. And I agree with your points.

I still think it sucks but Lisa Wilcox (Alice) did a perfect job of filling the shoes of the female sympathetic character after Nancy, I also like they revisited the Amanda Krueger plot of the series.

there were some scenes i really disliked-mostly with Jacob. But I thought the deaths were great. But it would have been better if they kept them how they were originally filmed.

I must say that this is not my favorite in the series, but it did have some high points. The entire beginning part of the movie, with the blue love scene and the shower nightmare, was really great. Lisa Wilcox is a great scream queen, if you can even call her that, because the keeps her cool most of the time. I've noticed that the ensemble casts get gradually better, as well...I liked the groups from 3 and 4 but these guys just had more chemistry.

I just couldn't get on board with the whole "dream child" concept...I'm glad there was a decent ending, though.

Just watched 3, 4 and 5 for the first time. While I find this to be the worst of those 3, I still enjoyed it.

The theme. It´s so magical and... sad. I rewatched yesterday, after 4 years when i rewatched the franchise for the first time. Now i can´t get that music out my head! And guess what? Now i like this movie, even if is almost the worst of the series (that goes to part 6, but i like too)

I like the death in the comic book scene, very creative, and Dan´s too. I liked Alice´s father, although he should appeared more.

-"cameo" by Robert Englund
-Once again i liked Alice, even more now that she wanted keep her baby, so cute <3
