This started off as a family show then in the two-part series finale, it was literally Urkel in space.

shareNah. The worst series finale goes to ALF. Let's end the show with ALF getting kidnapped by the Alien Task Force where if you go by the first episode he'll die a slow horrible painful death of getting exposed to intense cold, intense heat, and then get dissected while alive. What a big middle finger to fans. I'd also argue Seinfeld and 2 and a half men had worse series finales.

shareI first watched ALF for the first time around 10 years ago and liked it til that awful series finale. I'll also admit as a kid I only ever watched later seasons of this where Urkel was a main character. I remember finally renting it from Netflix about 7 years ago and being disappointed in the first season because of Urkel only being a cameo in a single episode. I don't care that the makers of the show didn't want Urkel in it as a main character. Urkel made this show different from other sitcoms at the time. This show was boring without him.

Dinosaurs had a bizarre series finale too.
I saw the entire Family Matters series last year for nostalgia purposes. The first 4 seasons aren't too bad, but it slowly stars to go downhill and the last 2 seasons are terrible. The finale just upset me.
shareI think the only thing that upset me about the series finale, and much of the final season, was shipping Urkel with Laura and breaking him up with Myra.
shareThey turned Urkel into an asshole. And there was no reason to Laura to be attracted to him.
shareWell, Urkel WAS a nice guy. And he was at his best in the final season. Less of an asshole than most other seasons in the show.
