Really solid character/secondary actor, can play a good guy well as well as a bad guy. Kind of feel there was an outside chance he could’ve been nominated for a Academy award for best supporting actor in this movie. He really did steal this movie to a certain degree.

He was excellent in Remember the Titans.
And his performance as the dad struggling to reconnect with his wife and son in Armageddon was one of the saving graces of a movie that was otherwise drowning in over-the-top Michael Bay testosterone. Man, the hurt in his eyes was palpable.
I absolutely love Armageddon. I don't care that people think it's over the top or blah blah blah... Will Patton is really amazing in this role. I have always loved the way he delivered the line to his estranged wife: "I got something coming up... something kinda big..."
