Was there crying in your theater when Prime died?

I saw it at home on TV, so I unfortunately knew what had happened before hand, I'm just curious if anyone remembers seeing it in the theater, and/or was said theater full of the sounds of children crying ala the end of Passion of the Christ? Which, was the only time I've ever been able to hear multiple people crying in a movie theater.

I mentioned it somewhere else, but I was 8 when it came out, and barely remember Prime's death, for whatever reason. I also don't remember any other kids getting emotional or anything.

I also don't remember Spike's "Oh, #@$%" and I'm pretty sure I would have, so it may been edited out by the time I saw it.

I remembered I cried in the theater. Couldn't really tell if the other kids were crying though.

The theater was about 1/3 full, saw it on a Friday, there wasn't that many kids if I remember correctly, that was so long ago, me and my mom saw it as a matinee showing at the now closed Mann's 6 Theater at the Plaza Bonita mall in San Diego, CA 1986. I remember seeing many more films at that theater, oh the memories.

I can relate. I have many fond memories of going to a six-screen AMC in Columbus, OH which is now a Dollar General. It's upsetting that theater's no longer in business, but at least the building still stands.

I'm sorry, are you addressing me? Because your authority is not recognized in Fort Kickass.

I was 11 maybe 12 at the time and I cried had no idea it was coming either. Don't think I was the only one but wasn't paying atention to what other kids were doing. I believe this was the first time I had gone to pictures alone.

Oddly enough when I watch the movie now I get more sadden over Megatron becoming Galvatron. Yeah I know he technically gets more powerful but at what cost? At least Optimus and Starscream went out as themselves.

The only moment that really shocked me was Iron Hide's execution.

I just watched it for like the 5th time, and I still had a tear in my eye.

I didn't see it theatrically, I was too young to have choice in the matter lol, maybe about 8yrs old or whatever.

I didn't even know it existed until season 3 began on tv & I wondered wtf was going on. Even then, having grown up 3yrs from my initial exposure to the show's first season, that's a long time when you're young- so I just kinda quit the show/franchise & moved on.

Once it started to have some tv airings, I began to put the pieces together & I actually laughed at the idea of killing them all off- they were essentially still just toys to me. I also thought it was a pretty stupid idea lol.

The only way this works is they set the movie in the year 2005, so in my youthful mind, the characters must've been repeating the same episodes for the next 20yrs- I think I clued in to that idea & so using the movie not merely as a tool to kill off a toy line, rather to show just how far our beloved Gen 1 characters traveled into the future.

Yup! I was to shocked to cry. Then later on I was pissed to learn the only reason they didnt kill duke was because of the back lash to primes death. Now in the new Transformers no one seemed to care that Optimus died..but went nuts when he executed Megatron.
