each Amigo's best moment

CHEVY CHASE'S BEST MOMENT:

when the Amigos "frighten" away El Guapo's three men and the people of Santa Poco throw a huge fiesta for them. He is surrounded by the ladies strummin' on his guitar, then
"De-hehhhhhhh, eh-ehhee-ehehehe!!!"
the first time I heard that I freaking died!!!

MARTIN SHORT'S BEST MOMENT:

He's got the lowest voice out of the three when they sing "Blue Shadows" and the other guys are like "whahhhh?"

rotf!!!
and also when they find out "it's real" he cries: "What am I doing in MEXICO?"

STEVE MARTIN'S BEST MOMENT:

Lucky: I'll fill you so full of lead you'll be using your d*ck as a pencil!
El Guapo: What do you mean?
Lucky: ...I don't know.

MAN THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES. THESE GUYS ARE HYSTERICAL!

reply

My favorite Steve Martin scene was closer to the beginning, and they're trying to break into the studio to steal their costumes back.. I died laughing when he started making all those crazy bird noises on the roof and the other two don't even notice it!

I also lost it when they were summoning the invisible swordsman and Martin Short goes like: Chip, chip, chip, chip, chip, NANNY!!

As for Chevy Chase, I loved it when he was pretending to be some guy named Jose and El Guapo was reminiscing with him about "raping the horses" and "riding off on the women" and "pruning the hedges"

reply

When the amigos are "performing", yelling arriba! and riding in circles, firing in the air. The camera is at the center of the cirlce looking out at each Amigo in turn. It's hilarious how obvious it is that they aren't on horses, and Martin Short's facial expression as he tosses his pistol from hand to hand in an intimidating fashion...

Pure gold.

reply

"do you have anything besides mexican food?"

also, we mustn't forget the supporting cast. carmen had a classic,

Lucky: "i'll come back one day."

Carmen: "why?"

reply

That Steve Martin "whipporwhill" scene is often cut when they're trying to fit it for a time slot on network TV.

It's a shame, b/c it's my favorite as well...

"lookupherelookupherelookuphere..... HEY YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!"

It's like living with a 6 year old.

reply

lol thanks for those!!!!

Lucky: I'll come back one day.
Carmen: Why?

rotf I loved that!

the whole movie was really good. But was it really them singing? Was that their real voices?

reply

Rosita: I was thinking later, you could kiss me on the veranda.

Dusty Bottoms: Lips would be fine.

I am not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing.

reply

lmao @ "raping the horses..." I'm watching it NOW!

My favorite line from Chevy Chase is when they wake up in the hotel in the morning and realize the group of gunfighters is coming for them. Chevy Chase looks out the window and says, "It looks like there are about 3 of them!"

I like it when they first get to the village and are putting on the "show" and Steve Martin dances sideways as Martin Short claps his hands and Chevy just looks at him with a goofy smile.

"If I've never seen it before, it's a new release to me."

Lucky Day

No Doubt it is when he is trying to signal the guys from the perch at the movie studio.

Ned Nedelender

Getting a face full of dirt from the canteen.

Dusty

When He flies into Carmen's closet, she opens the door and scares him.

reply

Lucky Day - "Gonna make it! Gonna make it!"

Dusty Bottoms - "Raping the horses . . . Riding off on the women . . ."

Ned Nedelender - "Does anyone have a watch, preferably one with a seconds hand?"

This fog is getting thicker!
And Leon's getting laaaaarrrrrger!

reply

Lucky Day: "For some, shyness may be their El Guapo...."

Dusty Bottoms: "Lip Balm?"

Ned Nederlander: "Sew, very old one. Sew like the wind!"

reply

Ned Nedelender - "Does anyone have a watch, preferably one with a seconds hand?"

"I got a stopwatch."

That was so hilariously random! Love this movie.

reply

When they're sitting around the campfire, and Ned says "How do you like your bat, Dusty?"

"Medium rare."

Or, "I think it was a male plane...Didn't you see it's little balls?"

"We're just gonna have to use our brains."
"Dammit!"

reply

Lucky: Whooperwill!

Ned: His Tublin 601 joke

Dusty: "Have you ever kissed a girl"

reply

Steve Martin's Best Moment: "Excuse me, we're not MEXICANS, we're from out of town."

Chevy Chase's Best Moment: (the flamenco guitar playing) "HUHHHHuuuhhhhuuuuhhhOOOHHHooohhhooo!" (strums then quiets the strings)

Martin Short's Best Moment: "Dorothy Gish...Lillian's sister...and she looked me in the eyes and said 'Young man, YOU. HAVE. GOT IT.' And....UH!! Dorothy Gish. It's a true story."
