I can't understand it either. This is almost a perfect film for me, and I really enjoy rolling it out for friends who never saw it and watching their amazement at how awesome it is.
I've seen movies which are on my Craptastic List hit an 8 or 9 on this site and it boggles my mind.
best musical ever for me. Simple.
Give it a 10.
For creature design and special effect alone it should be higher!

10/10 for me. I love this film.
Break the rules and in a couple of years you will have a hell of a story to tell.
I'd say the primary reason is that it's 30 years old, so younger audiences wouldn't be familiar with it, and it's the younger audiences who do most of the rating and posting here.
- You may have come on no bicycle, but that does not say that you know everything.
Little Shop of Horrors is a perfect musical. Watched it again with the original ending. A clear 10/10.
