Favorite Line???

Misters father- " I hear she's got that nasty womens disease"........lol

My favorite was when Shug is walking into the house and turns to Celie and says "You shoo is ugly". That made me crack up. I was laughing for weeks!!!

Celie to Harpo: "Beat her." I used to say it to me mom everytime she complained about somthing my little sister did.

Shug to her daddy: "Iz married now." I said it on my wedding day and had it on my answering machine for a month after.

Well, not my favorite line, but kinda funny...

Miss Millie trying to "justify" why black people should like her.

"I've always been good to you people....I've always gone out my way for coloreds!"

She was sooo ignorant that she was almost funny. LOL


Another funny part was when Shug cussed out Albert when he tried to cook her breakfast.

But my favorite part that I die laughing at all the time was when Harpo accuses Joey the Mule for the black eye Sofia gives him.

"I tell ya' paw, it was that mule...ol' Joey the mule!"

"Naw...that look like a fist print!" ROTFLMAO!

Sofia: "Harpo, I need to to come down here and hold dis baby!"

Sofia: "Here you go." (Hands Harpo his child)
Harpo: "What do you want me to do wit it?"
Sofia: "Try feedin' her and then clean up dis mess you done made here I can smell the rain comin!"

In fact that whole scenario with Celie and Sofia cracks me up. Sofia is just going on and on and Celie is just looking at her in amazement.

LOL, I don't know why but ever since me and my little brother were silly, littlekids we used to start laughing nonstop to that one line.

I remember countless times where I watched this movie and waited for that one line! Just so I can get high off of laughter. LOL.
