Elizabeth Berridge - One of the worst acting performances ever?

I couldn't even take the movie seriously she was so bad as Constanze. Unbelievably dreadful.

reply

I don't think she's a total disaster, but she is difficult to watch. In my view, Berridge is the weakest casting in the movie.

I agree she isn't much of an actress, but her cleavage kind of distracted me from her mediocre performance. So I'm willing to give her a pass.

reply

I agree; she was VERY bad!
She sounded more like a California Valley Girl than a citizen of Vienna.

I believe Christine Ebersole should have cast as Constanze.
IMHO, she was marvelous!

She was supposed to sound like a girl from the country. Constance Mozart was the daughter of Mozart's home cleaning lady. She wasn't either sophisticated nor educated.

If you liked her cleavage in the 1984 version of "Amadeus," you would love the more-revealing "director's cut" version that is now out on DVD. There is a scene included in the director's cut that helped to bump the original PG-13 rating of the theatrical version to an R rating for the DVD version.

not even close. I thought she was excellent as Stanze, full of fire and also playful. plus, I've seen movies with Kristen Stewart and Adam Sandler, two actors who push the envelope of horrendous acting to lows that nobody in Amadeus came anywhere near approaching

Hey, hey, hey, watch it. Kristen Stewart is the girl of my dreams and extraordinarily talented in all she does. Beautiful performer, beautiful actress.

I'm not big on Adam Sandler though.

it's true that Kristen Stewart is extraordinarily skilled in all that she does

the trouble is, all that she does is mess with her hair, shake her head, breathe abruptly, and make ungracious, abrasive public appearances in which she appears to be either deeply frightened of being on stage, or utterly disdainful of audiences

She's Just different than other actress. She shows plenty of talent Just by acting the way she does instead of always smiling and being cheerful and all.

most of my favorite movies don't have much smiling and cheerfulness in them, so that's not my issue with Ms. Stewart. the issue is she has no range whatsoever. she has one very limited character that she does over and over and over and over and over...

that's what makes her talented

I thought she was beautifully performing the role. I thought she was amazing and beautiful and sexy. :) Such a good actress.

Yeah, I'm also not seeing the problem with her acting. At the very least, it was adequate.

As for her sexiness, of that there is no doubt.

No blah, blah, blah!

reply

Agreed. This is such a wonderful film with fantastic acting. Berridge's awful performance completely stands out, dragging everything else down.

Signatures annoy me.

reply

Her knockers were simply spectacular though
