What young actors should be in Outsiders??
This has always been a dream of mine. I would love for this movie to be remade! I would make it gritty and realistic. I would also make the focus of the story more centered on the idea of trouble youths without guidance. My pony boy would Emile hirsch and Johnny would be Joseph golden levitt

shareWell Logan Lerman would be good and maybe Asa Buterfield. Not sure who else. I do think Joseph G Lovett would be good for one of the older roles. But honestly I think Hollywood would screw it up now because of the teen craze for Twilight

I'm 27 and people still think I'm in high school. I don't think he'd necessarily be too old at all.

Ponyboy is meant to be 14 and whilst they could make him 17 or 18 I suppose, getting a 27 year old to play what should be a 14 year old is a little stretching really.

What's wrong with Ansel as Sodapop? Sodapop is described as the "heartthrob", and Ansel is one of the most attractive youngish actors of today. And he is a good actor.

Thomas Mann? Too old for Ponyboy - he's 23! C. Thomas Howell was just 15 when filming for The Outsiders took place. (it filmed in 1982)
