I came to this board to post just that.

SO many great performances (of course) but, to me, yes... this is his best.

Wait a minute... who am I here?

I am not sure if I would say it is his best performance. I might be more inclined to go with Raging Bull or Taxi Driver. But I would have to say at the very least that Pupkin is his most under appreciated.

Dalton and Craig! Accept NO substitutes!

It's tough but definitely his most under-rated performances. He also Has Taxi Driver, Godfather II and Mean Streets.

I think so. He's totally different than even his other films with Scorsese and is a sleazy nerd. Him and Jerry Lewis deliver their best performances in this film; even Scorsese once said DeNiro's best work was here.

It's great! but no, still have to go with The Deer Hunter.

one of my favorite de niro performances. he was really good in this, and it shows how much diversity he has as an actor.

1)Deer Hunter

2)H e a t

3)Raging Bull

4)Taxi Driver

5)Godfather 2

There are just so many incredible performances by this Legend, these are my top 5 performances.

I feel this one, and New York, New York are both amazing underrated performances.

I think his best may be Goodfellas even though he isn't in the lead role but this is up there for me. Shows the range De Niro has and is a very refreshing break from the characters we often see him play.
