I'd say yes, but Momoa has already carved out a distinct, albeit Plissken-like persona for himself. He wouldn't need to "revive" Plissken.

Maybe he can be Fresno Bob.

The question is moot. There is no need at all to remake this movie. Just as there no artistic need at all to do the sequel, Escape From L.A.

And don’t even think about plugging Mamoa into a Big Trouble In Little China redux🤮 The guy is likable, but he cannot channel John Wayne.
