What is your favorite scene?

As my favorite movie, it's hard to pick a single favorite scene from this movie. However, if I had to pick, I think the shot of Jake and his entourage going from his dressing room to the ring for the title shot is the best. It's the highlight of Jake's life, and the film does a great job of depicting it as such. The other part that stick out to me is the scene where Jake and Joey run into each other after years of being estranged. It's hard to watch them go from being almost inseparable to not being able to connect with one another.

"Your Gonna Overcook IT!!!"...

Simple Scene... But it shows you LaMotta in the essence. A man of rage. The slow zoom into the kitchen by the Camera. Over a goddamn steak... He then tries to make up saying something like, "Lets Be Friends" but really he gives Zero S**t.

There are so many memorable moments but that certainly is one of my favorites.

I also like when he furst makes love to Vicki and she looks at a pic of Jake and Joey(An obvious foreshadowing of things to come) with Jakes jealousies. Scorsese layered the film with these scenes.

2 scenes that I consider the best are.....

the scene where Jake is fixing the tv set and then starts asking Joey about an incident regarding his wife, Vicky at a night club that escalates itself to a pique of paranoia and suspicion about his brother Joey.

and...the 2nd Lamotta-Robinson fight when jake drops his gloves and invites and receives a brutal barrage of hits and blows. the camera work and editing during this scene is absolutely stunning and unbelievable.

The scene in the Florida jail where he's punching the wall.

The scene at the cola when Pesci starts a riot.

The last fight with Sugar Ray. One of the best scenes in any movie ever. Shot and edited perfectly. De Niro is absolutely raw. Incredible.

Picking a single favorite scene would be hard for me.

That said, the jail scene has always left the biggest impression on me when it comes to the acting. De Niro is truly exceptional there.

Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!

Like you say, very difficult to pick, but the final scene is hard to beat. Minimalist, but so extraordinarily powerful.

The last fight between LaMotta and Robinson. Scorsese at the peak of his, or any other director's, powers.

Where Vickie orders a piece of cake from room service, and Jake becomes obsessed with WHY.

It's very funny, but also reveals the HELL it must have been to put up with this lunkhead's endless bullsh!t
