Anyone notice Tatum was

A little chubby? I mean not fat but she definitly had a beer belly going on under that swimsuit though you could tell she was trying to hide it.-Dont get me wrong she was (is) still a beautigul girl and Im a HUGE fan of her, even through her drug problems, I still find her and her life facinating.

And I LOVVVE this movie. Kristy McNichol was such a badass, and what a great job she did. Reminds me of something I would do when I was her age at camp when she stole that bus with the rest of them to go get condoms with "One way or another" by Blondie playing (hehe)One of the greatest scenes in cinema.

(So sad by the way that Dana-I think that was her name, she was in pretty in Pink too-she was the bigger, long haired brunette girl-was urdered in the 80's right after the wrapping of Pretty in Pink)

A lot of girls that age have some extra baby fat because they are still growing. It's perfectly healthy.

Just to gain it all back (and then some) when they get middle aged. Trust me, I know.

Tatum looks like a normal teenage girl. Imagine that. She's not anorexic!

I LOVE this film also...but I have to disagree about Tatum being overweight. If you notice the scene where the girls are doing jumping jacks (where Ferris 'accidentally' falls into the pool), you will see O'Neal is wearing a bikini and looks fabulous!

No, she did not look chubby, not even a little bit. What a catty thing to say.

Actually what I noticed most about Tatum was her teeth! They were beautiful, pearly-white teeth. I've never noticed that in an actor before or since.

That's not catty. Getting defensive about someone thinking someone is a little chubby is insecure.

She was so dreamy.

reply

Yeah it's like she was dreamwalking throughout the film... not sleepwalking, dreamwalking. It's different, more ethereal.

I read the Paper Life (Tatum's book about her life) she talks about this movie and how she was mostly high when the filmed it. Her life as a young girl to adulthood was compilicated and she was abused sexually by many of her father's friends and her mom introduced her to drugs. Just sad. I think that she is doing really well for what she had to endure as a teen.

No wonder poor Tatum had anorexia/bulemia her whole life with people like this making these kinds of comments! Good god, she looks like a normal, absolutely beautiful teenager. Cruel, picky and catty comments like this one make me so annoyed.
