How Many Guessed the Outcome?

i didn't. But i didn't feel sorry for jacqueline, she arranged the murder of her friend in cold blood. had she really been dumped by Simon for Linnet i would have felt a bit sorry for her, but she wasn't.

I knew something was seriously wrong when Simon asked Mrs. Salome Otterbourne to tell the whole story, from the very beginning. Really, why did he care about the backstory? Just name the murderer immediately and we will work it out for ourselves.

I kinda did

Very early in the movie, I predicted Simon was the killer. It wasn't based on anything tangible, just a shot in the dark guess for fun. It was so early that I wasn't even sure yet who would be the victim. I dunno, maybe there was some subtle subconscious hint?

I was then fooled when the story convinced me that it couldn't have been Simon after he'd been shot in the leg. And anyway the real villain was Jackie, not Simon. So no I didn't really guess the outcome per se.

I watched the remake first.

I guessed that he wasn’t shot but I didn’t guess he was shot later.
