I think it is a hilarious. It's just that the rest of the world ate boring send take things too seriously. Al Cappucino is awesome in this movie

Unfortunately shortly after filming The Deer Hunter Cazale passed away from cancer.

shareIt has been marked as a comedy at times. The DVD called it a "boisterous comedy" and highlighted the film's humor. I watched it finding it funny at times but I was surprised how dark it was.
