This movie isn't bad, but it's a bit hard to follow without having seen the first four in the series first. I guess that's the trouble with sequels. For some reason, however, I can't seem to find any of the others anywhere! Maybe they weren't as good.
Ooh, can I play? Most of the good ones have already been done, sorry if the sound of scraping wood offends you ... :-P

I checked out Sorority Sluts VI this weekend. I thought I might have trouble following it, since I haven't seen Sorority Sluts I through V, but it was pretty easy to get into.
Funniest so far for my money :-) Although I liked Malcolm XI and American History XI too. Much respect to this thread!
I kinda wonder about StupidKid200313 though ... 3 posts in 4 years? Maybe it just lived on the volatile boards.

Sequels rarely do the original films justice. However, Slaughterhouse 5 is one of those rare sequels that works very well. I am still waiting for Slaughterhouse 6, maybe 7 or 8 as well. I sure hope they are as good as this one.
I experienced the same problem when watching "Passenger 57". I much prefer it when they roll several movies into one like "The taking of Pelham 1,2 and 3".
Why is this getting all remarks than all the others combined on this movie? What makes this one special? There is no sequel, nor potential sequel to this movie! What about the plot? The odd casting for the actors? The filming locations? The supposed coping mechanism the main protagonist has over the war?
It's the same problem with -Synecdoche, New York-, if you haven't seen -Synecdoche, Los Angeles- or -Synecdoche, Washington-, it turns really hard to follow. Anyway... I'm just waiting the release of: -007, Dr. Yes- -007, Dr. Maybe: Hesitation- and of course -Slaughterhouse-Six: The Return, Reloaded, With A Vengeance-.
I don't know where you got your info, but the title Slaughterhouse-Five is meant as slaughterhouse minus five, thus SLAUGHTER. The sequel would then have to be titled Slaughter+one. You see the logic?
