Would the studios be blackmailed and threatened by the Gay Mafia re Klinger?

Loretta Swit was tough enough (a bit like Roz in Frasier), but would she be still called from Hotlips?

Klinger wasn't gay or trans. He dressed in women's clothes as a way of faking mental illness so he could get out of the Army.

We know that. It just would not pass in terms of a story line today. A lot of people simply would not get it.
