These boards are a joke.

I like how these boards, rather than a place for people to meet and seriously discuss the films, have become a place where reprobates come to regurgitate one-liners from comedy writers as if it were their original thought.

I love MST3K. I have most episodes on tape. But if you want to spit out heckels from the show then do so on the MST3K page. Don't waste everyone else's time. I love the Touch Of Satan episode of MST, but I also own a vhs original copy of the actual movie 'The Touch of Satan', not the edited and censored version that made it to the comedy show's broadcast. While there are some inherent problems in the film, pacing being one of them, I actually enjoy the movie itself and have gone back to it several times.

So "this film is fun for no one' isn't really an apt statement. As a matter of fact coming on these boards and saying such and such is completely irredeemable, is a pointless gesture because it's all in the eye of the beholder.

This is where you reply angrily to tell me how you can be unoriginal if you want to and berate me for daring to assume we could be entertained by what a movie has to offer rather than wasting our time trying to come up with the next one-liner to cut it down.

I get it... However... If you're expecting anything else from a public internet forum, you will be disappointed.

the touch, the feel, of Satan.

Huge MST3K fan. Total tape circulating guy right here. I feel as if many people have rated this film (and other good films featured on the show) poorly because they have been stigmatized as being "bad" simply by receiving a riffing.

This is an enjoyable film for what it is. Memorable with decent production values and interesting characters. I'd say the same about Parts: The Clonus Horror, Squirm, Marooned, etc.

I enjoy seeing serious discussions of obscure, odd movies on IMDB, but I feel that it's few and far between. Concerning MST3K related films: everything would be better if people kept the MST3K references and revelry to one thread.

When a movie has been riffed my MST3K it looses any credibility as a legitimate movie on its own.

Usually a movie gets or got a riffed treatment is because there is a decent amount of space in the dialogue. Like Touch of Satan.

One of the worst parts of this movie is the dry and bland dialogue with dialogue gaffs.

Like mentioning, randomly, that the lake is were the fish lives. And the walnut ranch comment. Those are notorious gaffs. Well and awkward dialogue like the one at the gas station.

This movie is bad on its own. There is maybe three minutes that was cut by the MST3K crew. So the whole presentation is about what the original is.

It took me playing the original a second time because I fell asleep about a half hour in. Nothing really happens. Lots of starring scenes, car trips. Little build up to the action that does happen and lots of blank lifeless faces and awkward shots.

The only way to watch this is the MST3K version because it's one of the better riffings (due to the ample fuel this b movie gave them).

As I said earlier... When a movie gets a good riffing treatment (especially one as bad as this) you get msties on the board. And they want to celebrate their favorite riffs.
